Daily Food For All – Stop Hunger
Food, Shelter and clothes are the basic three requirements of our life. Proper quantity, as well as quality, is required to maintain our good health. Food is treated as the third most important consideration for our living beings for providing growth, development and energy. In India, many people are not getting food due to various reasons such as poverty, natural disaster, social issues, and so on. Increasing the hunger rate might affect the overall development of society. We need to fight against hunger and provide food for all needy people.
We are trying to help under-privileged people who can’t arrange their own food due to various reasons, for example floods across India bring curse for many people. To help these affected people, we raise funds, conduct ready food & monthly ration distribution drives.
Summary
By using our channels, we provide food for children, pregnant women and physically challenged people in different locations across the country. We are serving food to more than a thousand people in flood-affected and war-affected areas too. With your earnest support, we develop schemes for elderly poor people who cannot buy their regular food.
Challenge
Natural disasters: Due to natural disasters like floods, earthquakes, droughts, heavy rainfall, landfalls and some other cases, many thousand people become homeless every year and stay in temporary arrangements. They find it difficult to arrange their food. In 2020, West Bengal faced a major natural disaster due to the Amfan cyclone and heavy rain. Many people who lived in the lowlands and Sundarban delta region experienced a critical period. During this time, they did not get food on a regular basis.
Poverty: Extremely high numbers of people live below the poverty level (BPL). For the nation to achieve the necessary level of food security, this is one of the main obstacles that must be addressed.
Physical challenges: Many people who are suffering from different physical challenges are usually not able to collect food regularly. Maximum time they are begging in public places to survive.
War influence: People who are living in disputed and war-affected areas, face difficulties to collect food. For instance, it can be said that hundreds of people faced hard challenges during the wartime in Kashmir valley.
